Dieses „Open Studio“ bietet Einblick in den Forschungsprozess einer einwöchigen internationalen Residenz im QUARTIER Theater. Im zweiten Jahr in Folge erkunden die Künstler*innen, wie Identität und Zugehörigkeit durch unsere Wurzeln beeinflusst werden. Generationsübergreifende Traumata, Familienmuster und die Geschichte unserer Vorfahren prägen unsere Fähigkeit, Verbindungen zu knüpfen.
Die intensive Auseinandersetzung mit den persönlichen Erfahrungen der Gruppe während der Residenz wird in Bewegung, Klänge sowie szenischen Elemente übersetzt. Es entsteht eine multidisziplinäre Performance, die universelle Geschichten erzählt.  Die Co-Creators dieser Zusammenarbeit haben sich als Kreative und Performer*innen aus unterschiedlichen kulturellen, sozialen und künstlerischen Hintergründen zusammengefunden und gestalten disziplinübergreifend eine Erfahrung für alle Sinne und Perspektiven.
Eine Einladung zur Reflexion über die eigene Vergangenheit und deren Einfluss auf unsere gegenwärtigen Beziehungen.

Training/ Warm-up Sessions
Jeder Tag der Residenz von Dienstag bis Samstag, 08.-12. Oktober 2024, beginnt um 10 Uhr mit einer Morgenklasse, zu der wir die Tanzszene Hannover herzlich einladen. Die 1,5 Stunden sind zum einen ein Warm-Up für den Körper und einen kreativen Geist und zum anderen ein Vielerlei der interdisziplinären Hintergründe der Künstler*innen und ihrer liebsten Practices. Mit Bewegungserfahrung.

TEAM
Jakob von Kietzell (*1995) is a multidisciplinary creative at the intersection of movement, visual arts, and design, based in Berlin and around Europe. He is passionate about cross-collaborations, exploring human interactions and site-specific work. 
Jakob studied design at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, with a year abroad at the Faculty of Multidisciplinary Arts at Shenkar in Tel Aviv. He then completed various training projects for contemporary dance, including ‘PERA Short’ in Cyprus at the GAU, ‘Anfibia’ in Bologna at Leggere Strutture and ‘PACAP7’ in Lisbon at Forum Dança. 

Réka Horváth is a multi-disciplinary performer and creative artist, specialising in contemporary dance and music. Currently based in Budapest, and having short projects abroad (Norway, Italy, Germany, New-Mexico). She has trained in different movement and music styles including folk dance, ballet, acrobatics, partnering, floor technique, classical and jazz singing, guitar, piano.
In 2019 she graduated in Music Culture at the Eötvös Loránd University. In 2017 she completed the ZéróPlusz contemporary dance training. In 2023 she graduated in interdisciplinary art through Anfibia Art in Bologna.
Among others, she has worked with the Living Picture Theatre, m.a.d.a.m., Dávid Somló, Janus University Theatre, Martina La Ragione, School of disobedience, Penuma Association, Ernő Rubik’s TÉRIDŐ jam. In August 2023 she has been on international performing arts research where she created a piece under the mentorship of renowned artists. In October 2023 she was a participant in the WhatIIIF instant composition festival (Rotterdam). In 2024 april she did a residency in Keshet Dance and Center for th Arts (Albuquerque). During the residency they give and receive peep workshops in within the community. Currently she is an active member in Soharóza experimental choir, ArtMan inclusive dance company, m.a.d.a.m. collectiv. It is also very valuable to her, to share her experiences so she is giving creative dance and music classes for children and performative workshops for adults.

Maud Buckenmeyer (France, 1996) navigates through different performative layers and mediums in order to create narrations where dance, story telling, voicing and burlesque can merge. She is dealing with the topics of loss and grief and is interested in dance as a place of invocation and imaginary. She studied literature, theater and clown before graduating from the inter-university of dance in Berlin (BA/HZT) in July 2022. Lately she completed the programm ‘PACAP7’ in Lisbon at Forum Dança.

Gergő Lukács is one of the founders of company Ziggurat Project, which created interdisciplinary, site-sensitive performances and art for society projects from 2015 to 2023. His contemporary dance master was Ibolya Holb for eight years. After studying at Budapest Contemporary Dance Academy he participated in dance program KET Terminál led by Tímea Maday and József Hámor. Finished his master's studies in Design and Art Management at Budapest Metropolitan University, with a special focus and thesis on artist-in-residence centres in the countryside. He is currently working at Godot Institute of Contemporary Art in Budapest.
Socially engaged and collaborative art is his special focus. He was the artistic director of Arboretum project in the framework of CAPP programme (Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme) in 2017-18. The results were exhibited at Ludwig Museum – Common Affairs – in Budapest. Alongside Ziggurat Project he worked as a performer with Danish company Secret Hotel, led by Christine Fentz, Living Picture Theatre and Viktória Makra. He is also working and interested in video editing, light design, contemporary dance film, facilitation and experiential learning.

Mia Kirsch is a transdisciplinary creative interested in storytelling through different media including movement and dance, drawing and writing, collage and sound. She currently studies Liberal Arts and Sciences in Freiburg with a focus on Culture and History. After her studies in Leipzig including dance pedagogy and choreography at TanzZentrale and cultural studies at the University, she completed the ANFIBIA program in Bologna for contemporary performers. Her biracial identity has shaped her artistic research, bringing family history and the question of belonging together. Where do you come from? What are you rooted in? What are the nuances of being displaced from your country of origin and how does it affect different generations? These questions continue to fuel her scientific interest in anthropology and undocumented history.
